The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers developing firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of chatter to those who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
