The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers developing firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of chatter to those who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol
