The defender Advanced forward when in possession, a familiar role before. On occasion seemed hesitant in possession with the experiment discontinued after the break. 6

The tall defender A constant threat from dead balls, per usual, perhaps is another option for his teammate in the backline rather than paired with him. One wayward ball after the break came close to a goal for the visitors. Six

The young full-back One more assured performance from the 20-year-old after his first cap versus another side. Saka did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous touch over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is firmly his so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Slightly loose in possession however his dangerous set-pieces caused problems. A handy pace-controller available to the manager to utilize against defensive opponents. Cautioned for a rash challenge. Six

The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Had freedom to move down the left flank but was in an offside position upon receiving in front of goal. Given a deserved rest on the hour mark. 6/10

The star midfielder Played in a forward position out wide while also put in defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance but scuffed a shot wide. Replaced in the closing stages for a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Was presented with the team's best chance of the first half, his effort smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. With a teammate holding position, it fell to him to provide width down the right side although his balls into the box were hit and miss. Substituted with 15 to go. 6

The captain The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes at international level. His first a classic poacher’s finish and his next a superb finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side are strong contenders next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a presentable chance following a pass by Bellingham but Strakosha made the save. His replacement produced a bigger an impact after coming on. 5/10
