Space-Based Imagery Reveal Iranian Naval Forces and Atomic Locations Targeted by American and Israeli Attacks.

Multiple American and Israeli airstrikes has reportedly sunk or crippled no fewer than eleven warships belonging to Iran since Saturday, freshly analyzed aerial photos demonstrate, with launch facilities and atomic facilities also sustaining hits.

Pictures of the southerly Konarak naval military port and the Bandar Abbas facility, which overlooks the strategic Hormuz Strait and is home to the headquarters of the Iran's naval force, depict smoke billowing from a number of warships on recent days.

Naval Forces Incurred Major Losses

Among the targets eliminated was the Makran, Iran's most sizable ship which had functioned as a unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Aerial imagery showed dark plumes rising from the ship which had been moored at the Bandar Abbas base.

Intelligence reports suggest that at least five vessels at Bandar Abbas were "damaged or eliminated". Photos of the south end of the port reveal plumes ascending from the Makran, while another pair of ships seem to be harmed, with a single one clearly on fire.

Over at Konarak, images reveal numerous damaged ships, with analysis identifying impacts on six vessels. Photos taken on the start of the week also indicate that multiple facilities at the base have been destroyed.

"For decades the Iran's leadership has harassed global maritime traffic," an American commander declared. "At present, there is not one Iranian vessel underway in the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Sea of Oman, and we will continue."

A number of vessels reportedly sunk may have been concealed in satellite images by weather conditions or battle damage, or targeted offshore, and have not been independently verified. Other accounts suggested that one Iranian ship was foundering off the coast of Sri Lanka's territorial waters, leading to a rescue operation.

Rocket Bases and Nuclear Locations Attacked

Eliminating Tehran's launch facilities and the prevention of nuclear weapons development were stated as other aims of the offensive. Aerial imagery also depicted impacts against the southern Khorgu and north-western Tabriz missile bases, and at the Konarak base, where rocket warehouses and fortifications were targeted.

Over at the Choqa Balk-e drone base to the west of the city of Kermanshah, significant destruction was identified to sheds, underground facilities and unmanned aircraft systems.

Impact was also observed at a radar installation at the Zahedan airbase military airport in eastern Iran, close to the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Significantly, the latest wave of strikes have reportedly focused on installations at the Natanz complex – widely believed to be at the core of Iran's atomic program. A global monitoring agency said that the affected buildings were used for entry to the facility's below-ground enrichment facility and that "no release of radioactive material" was anticipated.

Wider Impact and Assessment

Observers indicated that the attacks appeared to have "largely neutralized" the Iran's naval ability to sustain traditional warfare using its most significant vessels. But, it was stressed that Iran retains the capacity to launch asymmetric warfare at sea through the use of drones, small submarines and its so-called "clandestine network" of tankers.

The full extent of the damage caused to Iran's defense infrastructure is still uncertain, with attacks reportedly ongoing. Imagery also indicates widespread destruction to the headquarters of the the IRGC in the city of Tehran.

A significant number of civilian buildings also are reported to have been damaged in the capital city and throughout the country since the hostilities began. Reports of deaths from ground sources state that hundreds of non-combatants may have been killed in the attacks.

As the situation develops, analysis of satellite imagery will persist to assess the unfolding military landscape.
