Netflix Chooses Perfect Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and anime.

The new cast member will work alongside several other new cast members set to bring the group to life, including head Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.

Though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is due to premiere for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
